Our ESG efforts focus on proactive, transparent communication; prioritize the well-being of people and the planet; and mitigate risk to stakeholders through robust policy building and solid governance practices.

As large-scale real estate owners, we honour the role we must play in adding value across the geographies we serve. Through innovative partnerships and employee-driven social initiatives, we hope to give back to the community via meaningful sponsorship, support, and awareness campaigns. 

Aligning with Industry Leaders

Canada Infrastructure Bank

Avenue Living is the first private real estate trust that the Canada Infrastructure Bank has partnered with to tackle multi-family retrofits at scale.  

Through our work, we aim to deploy meaningful environmental conservation measures to enhance the efficiency and enjoyment of approximately 240 buildings across the Prairies, positively impacting approximately 10,000 residents and reducing our greenhouse gas emissions by up to 50%.  

Principles for Responsible Investment

The PRI is the world’s leading proponent of responsible investment, helping companies understand investment implications of ESG and how to best incorporate these factors into business decisions. The organization advises nearly 5,000 asset owners, investment managers, and service providers internationally. 

Avenue Living became a PRI signatory in 2021, formally pledging to act in accordance with, and as a public commitment to, the best long-term interests of our stakeholders.

We’re proud to be the Responsible Investment Association’s (RIA) first member specializing in real estate investments. Our membership enables collaboration with Canada’s investment industry to enhance risk management, boost performance, and promote positive societal change.
